Datuk Rashidi Bin Hasbullah (“Datuk Rashidi”) has vast experience in the Tourism Industry dating back to 1996 when he was attached to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) as an Assistant Secretary in the Tourism Development Division up until he retired as Secretary General of MOTAC in February 2019.
In 23 years of service in MOTAC, Datuk Rashidi has gained a wealth of experience in Tourism Development policies, especially through his direct involvement in implementing the Malaysia Tourism Transformation Plan (2010 - 2020), drafting the Malaysia Tourism Strategic Plan (2020 - 2050) and Malaysia Culture Policy (2020 - 2030) during his tenure as Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General. Besides tourism, Datuk Rashidi is well versed in Malaysian culture, which is synergistically important in the promotion of Malaysia as a tourism destination.
Datuk Rashidi does not have any family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of Meridian Berhad, or any conflict of interest with the Company.
